PRIMARY RECRUITMENT
A Letter From Our VP Recruitment
Hi everyone! My name is Cheyenne Lambton-Carr, and I am so excited to be Alpha Chi Omega’s VP of Recruitment for 2026! It has been an honor to lead our incredible recruitment team as we prepare to welcome everyone in the fall!
One of my biggest fears when entering college was wondering if I was going to find my people. Coming from out of state, I was searching for a home away from home within the broader Carolina community. Recruitment brought me exactly what I was looking for and more. Our Panhellenic community is full of intelligent, driven, and welcoming women who were ecstatic to meet each and every PNM. Through meaningful conversations and bright smiles, I found my home in Alpha Chi. I still remember my face hurting from smiling so much after my first time in our wonderful yellow home! The women in Alpha Chi created an honest, safe, and love-filled space for me to express myself and find friendship and connections with those I spoke to. From the moment I joined Alpha Chi, I knew that I wanted to be involved in recruitment in a larger way and share the same warmth and friendliness that I was given during my experience.
The true love, care, and emotion shown to me during my recruitment process has continued on through my time in Alpha Chi. There is not a day I step into the house where I am not immediately greeted with warm smiles, a hug, encouragement, or someone to share one of our delicious meals with. I can say with one hundred percent certainty that going through recruitment was the best decision I have made during my college career. I am beyond grateful to have the opportunity to lead and showcase our wonderful chapter and the bright minded and ambitious women who fill up our home.
College can be a very tumultuous and scary period of time, but I found that the best way for me to embrace the unknown was to take big leaps and expand my horizons. I encourage you to take this step and participate in recruitment! I have no doubt that you will be surrounded by love and motivation during this process, and I cannot WAIT to hear the stories of the women who walk through our doors.
Love,
Cheyenne
Tips For Recruitment From Current Members
We want to delve into your passions and excitement! Each person has a captivating story, and during recruitment, our current members genuinely love hearing about your unique experiences.
Feel free to ask those thought-provoking questions. While it might feel a bit vulnerable, engaging in deeper conversations during recruitment can lead to incredible connections and meaningful bonds.
Above all, be genuine. I view my friends as reflections of my authentic self, and I adore how beautifully different we all are. It's perfectly okay to embrace your individuality. It's perfectly okay to be honest and true to yourself.
Wear what makes you feel your best. I've discovered that when I'm not comfortable in my outfit, I tend to feel slightly on edge and less like myself. It's crucial to wear something that makes you feel your absolute best during recruitment so that you can truly relish the experience!
Our chapter is extremely committed to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion, and we work to foster an environment that upholds these values for all community members. If you have any questions about DEI in our chapter, please do not hesitate to reach out to the AXO DEI chair or the Panhellenic DEI Committee.
